Professor Ajigbade Ikuejube

Ajigbade Ikuejube is a Professor of Diplomatic History and Peace Studies at the Department History and Diplomatic Studies, Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo, Nigeria. He earned his first degree in History from OSUA and holds an additional four postgraduate degrees from the University of Ibadan. These include an  M.A in History, Postgraduate Diploma in Education, an M.A in Peace and Conflict Studies and PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies with specialization in Ethnic Conflict and Resolution. He also obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Theology.

Professor Ajigbade Ikuejube is an accomplished scholar, peace builder and administrator. He is currently the Provost, Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti, Nigeria. He has previously served in various leadership positions in academia and civil society.  He was formerly the Acting Provost, Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo, Nigeria. He was Deputy Provost for two consecutive terms.

He was elected as Dean, School of Arts and Social Sciences for two consecutive terms. He was Pioneer Dean, School of Degree Studies. He was Head of Department of History, Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo for over four years.
Professor Ajigbade Ikuejube has served as Chairman of various Boards and Committees. These include: Chairman of Academic Board, Chairman, Governing Board of Demonstration Schools, Chairman, College Management Committee, Chairman, Committee of Deans and Directors, Chairman, Inaugural Lecture Committee, Chairman Accreditation Committee, Chairman, Housing Allocation Committee, Chairman, Boarding Committee and Chairman ceremonial Committee.

Professor Ajigbade Ikuejube was  President , Parents’ Forum, University of Medical Sciences, Ondo and Chairman, UNIMED Stakeholders for five years. He also served as Pioneer Chairman, Josiah Akindayomi Skills Acquisition Centre, Ondo. He served as Chairman, Area Pastors’ Forum of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ondo Province II

Professor Ajigbade Ikuejube has contributed immensely to knowledge in terms of quality of authored books, jounal articles and chapters in books and presentation of papers in national and international conferences. He has over one hundred research papers which can be grouped into six categories, namely authored books (6) edited books (15), monograph (1) chapters in books (37), journal  articles (21) and conferences (29).

Professor Ajigbade Ikuejube is a member of many professional bodies among which are Historical Society of Nigeria (HSH), Teachers’ Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Society for Peace Studies and Practice (SPSP) and Nigerian CuItural Studies Network ( NCSW)

Professor Ajigbade Ikuejube is happily married to Dr Mrs Blessing Ikuejube. The union is blessed with Children.
