The Provost of the Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti, Dr. Smart Odunayo Olugbeko, has reiterated his commitment to building a stronger and more progressive institution through sustained engagement with members of the academic staff.
The interactive meeting commenced with an opening prayer offered by Dr. Kate Folayan. This was followed by a welcome address by the Programme Anchor, Temilola Mercy Ajide, who also formally introduced the Principal Officers of the College. The College Librarian, Dr. Abdulmumin Isah, thereafter delivered the opening remarks, setting a constructive tone for the engagement.
In his address, the Provost expressed appreciation to academic staff for their dedication and resilience, noting their critical role in the smooth running and academic advancement of the institution. He reaffirmed that such engagements would be sustained to enhance communication, strengthen mutual understanding, and promote institutional progress.
Dr. Olugbeko emphasised the core mandate of academics, underscoring excellence in teaching, research, and community service as the foundation of academic professionalism. He urged staff to remain committed to these responsibilities while upholding institutional regulations and maintaining high ethical standards.
