June 24, 2026
The 2nd Substantive Provost of the Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti, Dr. Smart Odunayo Olugbeko, has officially commenced his first two-year consolidation plan with a comprehensive familiarisation tour of the College Community and the Permanent Site.
The visit, aimed at gaining firsthand insight into the operational structure and developmental needs of the institution, began with a guided tour of the college community. The Registrar, Dr. Khadijah Wuraola Garba, led the Provost and his entourage through various units and schools, providing detailed introductions and briefings on their functions and activities.
Subsequently, the team proceeded to the College’s permanent site, where the Ag. Director of Physical Planning and Works, Eng. Olubodun Kayode, conducted an on-site tour, highlighting ongoing developments and future infrastructural prospects.
The Provost was accompanied by key members of the management team, including Dr. Khadijah Wuraola Garba, Registrar; Dr. Abdulmumin Isah, College Librarian; Mrs. Mofoluso Olutayo-David, Bursar; and Eng. Olubodun Kayode, Ag. Director of Physical Planning and Works, alongside Obafemi Opeyemi and Dr. S.P. Akingbulu.
This strategic engagement underscores Dr. Olugbeko’s commitment to inclusive leadership, institutional development, and a results-driven administration as he sets the tone for his tenure.
