The Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti held its September Monthly Prayer tagged “FCE, Ilawe Prays” on campus, uniting staff and students in worship, exhortation, and intercession. The program, which began at 11:00am, opened with prayers led by Mr. Afolabi Samuel and a soul-lifting praise and worship session by Mrs. Foluso Ogunbiyi.
The exhortation was delivered by Pastor Tinuoye Oyeniran, a regional evangelist of RCCG, Akure, who spoke on the theme “Key to a Glorious Life and Career” (Colossians 1:27; 1 Corinthians 15:41). He reminded participants that, “Your love for God and your faith in God are the two keys that unlock a truly glorious life and career.”
Prayer sessions followed, with Mr. Forpet Zumgak John interceding for the forthcoming matriculation, the safety of visitors, and preservation of lives and property, quoting Psalms 91:10 to stir the atmosphere. Mrs. Toyin Ajayi led the second session, praying for unity among staff, divine provision, and peace in Ilawe community, Ekiti State, and Nigeria at large.
The College PRO gave the announcements, during which the Bursar was specially celebrated for her birthday. She was prayed for by Pastor Oyeniran and later expressed gratitude, saying, “I deeply appreciate the love and prayers shown to me. May God bless you all. I urge our students to remain well-behaved, especially in dressing, as we prepare for tomorrow’s matriculation ceremony.”
The program ended with a closing prayer by the Medical Director, leaving the FCE Community spiritually strengthened and united ahead of the matriculation ceremony.
