Dr. Oyewale Gbemisola Mary

Dr. Oyewale Gbemisola Mary was born on April 18 in Kwara State, Nigeria. She is currently the Acting Dean, School of Education at the Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti.

She holds academic degrees in History and Policy of Education. Dr. Gbemisola began her academic career in 2016 as an Assistant Lecturer at a reputable institution before joining the Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti.

She has published articles in both local and international journals, contributing significantly to the advancement of knowledge in the field of education. Dr. Gbemisola has also made meaningful contributions to educational development, particularly in the areas of education policy and the history of education.

She has served in various capacities, including Coordinator of a Directorate, Departmental Secretary, and a member of several institutional committees, before joining the Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti. Through her teaching and research, she continues to inspire students and contribute to scholarly discussions in the field of education.

Beyond her academic work, she is an active member of the Mothers’ Union in the Anglican Communion and also serves as a choir member.

In 2025, she became the first Acting Dean of the School of Education at the Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti.
