Dr. Abdulmumin Isah

Dr. Abdulmumin Isah holds Ph.D. in Library and Information Science (2016), from the University of Botswana, Gaborone, Botswana, Master of Library and Information Science (2007) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and Bachelor of Library and Information Science (2002), from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. He also earned Diploma in Library Science (1997) from the Institute of Education, Ahamadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.
Dr. Isah started his professional career in 2005 as Graduate Research Assistant on World Bank Research Project at the University of Lagos, Library and Pioneer College Librarian at the Nigerian Television College, Jos (2007-2008). He then joined the service of the University of Ilorin as Assistant Lecturer in 2008, rose through the ranks and become Associate Professor in 2022. In 2023 Dr. Isah was appointed by the Federal Government of Nigeria as the Pioneer College Librarian of the newly established Federal College of Education, Ilawe, Ekiti.

Dr. Isah has served in various capacities at the University of Ilorin among which include; Level Adviser, Departmental Examination Officer, and Departmental Postgraduate Coordinator. Dr. Isah has represented Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences as a member of the board at the faculties of Arts, Engineering and Technology and College of Clinical Sciences. He has equally served as a member of, the University of Ilorin Central Open Educational Resource Committee and the University of Ilorin Admission Technical Committee. He is the Assistant Editor-in-Chief – Ilorin Varsity International Journal of Library and Information Science
Dr. Isah has published several research articles in national and international high impact journal outlets including book chapters and attended conferences/workshops at home and abroad. He is a Chartered Librarian of Nigeria and a member of professional associations such as the Nigerian Library Association (NLA) and the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA). His research areas include digital libraries, knowledge organization, and scholarly communication.
